2. Intellectual property

The source code, graphic design, images, photos, sounds, animations, software, text and information and content on the website www.edass.org are protected by Spanish intellectual and industrial property legislation in the favour of EDaSS research unit. Reproduction and/or publication, whether totally or in part, of the website is prohibited, as is the processing of information hereon and its distribution, diffusion, modification, transformation and decompiling, without written permission in advance from EDaSS research unit.

The user may only use the material that appears on this website for their personal and private use. It is prohibited to use such content for any commercial purposes or any illicit activities. All intellectual property rights are expressly reserved by EDaSS research unit.

EDaSS research unit will ensure compliance with these conditions and the due usage of the content on its web pages, reserving the right to exercise all civil and criminal actions available to it in the event of any breach or failure to respects such rights by the user.

3. Personal data protection

In the context of compliance with current legislation, as set out in Organic Act 15/1999, dated 13 December, on Personal Data Protection (LOPD, for the Spanish acronym), the purpose of which is to protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals, particularly with regard to their personal life and honour, EDaSS research unit (henceforth, EDaSS) hereby informs users that:

EDaSS has adopted technical and organisational measures in accordance with the provisions of current legislation.

The Personal Data collected in forms on the EDaSS website will be processed by EDaSS staff, and not transferred to any outside parties.

The purpose of collection and automated processing of Personal Data is to administer any contractual relationship established between the user and EDaSS, in the performance of information, training, sales (which will always be identified as such) and other activities.

EDaSS has adopted suitable security levels for the data provided, and has installed all the technical resources and measures at its disposal to ensure no loss, misuse, unauthorised access or robbery of the data provided.

The user may exercise their rights as set out in the LOPD to access, rectify, cancel and object to the information held at any time.

4. Miscellaneous

A.- EDaSS may use cookies, which will be stored on your computer. Cookies are small files that our computer sends to yours, but which do not provide us with any information on your name or any other personal data relating to you. The cookies we use cannot read data from your computer or read other cookies on your computer. When the user browses the EDaSS website, the server where it is hosted automatically recognises the IP address of your computer and the date and time at which the visit starts and ends, together with information on the sections visited. B.- EDaSS may change the information on this website, together with its configuration and presentation, at any time.

C.- EDaSS undertakes not to use this resource to spread misleading advertising.

In this regard, any formal or numeric errors that might be found in the various sections of the EDaSS website resulting from incomplete or defective maintenance and/or updating of information shall not be considered misleading advertising. EDaSS undertakes to correct any such problems as soon as it becomes aware of them.

D.- EDaSS undertakes not to send commercial messages without acknowledging them as such, pursuant to Act 34/2002 on Services in the Information Society and electronic commerce.

EDaSS shall also not be held responsible for the accuracy, honesty or morality of the content on any website that may be accessed from a link on www.edass.org.

F.- EDaSS shall accept no liability for any damage or injury of any type that results or might result from use of the information and material on this website and the programs it contains. Links and hypertext on www.edass.org may give the user access to goods and services offered by third parties that do not belong to EDaSS, and over which EDaSS has no control. EDaSS shall accept no responsibility for the information on such websites or for any damage or injury that might derive from it.

G.- EDaSS shall accept no responsibility for any illicit use by others of any trademarks, product names or commercial brands that, not belonging to EDaSS, appear on the website www.edass.org. Furthermore, EDaSS shall accept no responsibility for the accuracy, truthfulness or lawfulness of content that may be accessed from links to other websites on www.edass.org.

H.- EDaSS shall not be held responsible for any virus transmitted as a result of electronic information transfer infiltrated by others (e.g. through text processor macros, Java applets and ActiveX programs) with the objective of generating harmful effects on IT systems.
